A K-12 school in Hudsonville, MI, is seeking a qualified social worker to support student well-being and academic success through a contract position anticipated to last approximately 12 weeks starting December 10, 2025, with the possibility of becoming full-time. The role is onsite with typical hours from 8:15 AM to 3:55 PM and involves managing a caseload of about 40 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and prepare detailed reports.
- Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings alongside parents and school staff.
- Monitor and report student progress toward established goals during each reporting period.
- Develop and implement data collection systems to support functional assessments and positive behavior interventions.
- Analyze and graph data to track student advancement.
- Engage in and lead professional development sessions focused on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school-wide.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Masters Degree from a Michigan Department of Education (MDE)-approved graduate social work program, including at least 500 hours of supervised practicum.
- Temporary approval, continuing temporary approval, or full approval by the MDE, Office of Special Education.
